Please note that the Finnish swastika in the pictures in these websites has nothing to do with the corresponding Nazi symbol. For the Germans, it was black in color and standing on the tip of the planes, in Finland it was blue and always straight.
I have a professional Canon imagePROGRAF iPF6400 large format printer. I can print posters with a size of 106cm X 60cm, some of which are screenshots taken in IL-2 Sturmovik Great Battles Series or Cliffs of Dover sims. I also make smaller 40cm X 30cm small boards for the tiny frames.
I sell these aviation-related posters only and exclusively to Finnish virtual pilots and aviation enthusiasts, as well as to buyers of my throttle console as individual copies.
Kari Vertanen is a Finnish aviation artist and here are three examples of his magnificent paintings. They are noe available from me as a huge 103cm c 60cm high quality posters! Notice that all pictures in this page are low-resolution samples and not printable image files. The first Focke Wulf 190 F-8 picture links you to the Kari's websites where he also sells his other aviation art pictures with the smaller sizes but high quality prints too.
p>Screenshots of the games should be taken with a 4K monitor so that they are raw image files at least 3840 X 2160 pixels or larger. Format can be for ex. PNG, BMP or PSD files but NOT JPG files (they are compressed and low quality files). I'm editing images with the Photoshop to an excellent quality of 600dpi prints at its greatest of 106cm X 60cm (600dpi) posters. Smaller screenshots of 1920 X 1080 pixels taken on an HD screen can be made to a good quality 60cm X 33cm (300dpi) posters.
ISO 216 STANDARD - SCREENSHOTS AND PRINTS (BY CROPPING)
16:9 WIDESCREEN - SCREENSHOTS AND PRINTS (ONE TO ONE)
I make the above example sizes and smaller. You can also order special sizes by entering the dimensions of the artwork. The maximum height of the print is 60cm and attention, there is practically no limit to the width: You can for ex. wallpaper one wall by using four 240cm X 60cm prints and stacking them on top of each other. The picture is then 240cm X 240 cm size.
The artwork should be delivered in good resolution to me by email. You can check my Graphics settings above when I'm taking screenshots with my 1920 X 1080 pixels HD-monitor (Use 4K monitor with the 2160p resolution if you have it). After that I drop the graphic settings a little lower when I fly normally. Contact me and request an offer or write questions of how to make high quality printable screenies from the game, please!

ATTENTION: First, check the availability of the frames and design your aviation poster size accordingly. Stylish narrow frames are available from local department stores.
I only print aviation posters and also large photos. Here’s an example of a stunning modern photo of a Grumman F6F Hellcat that served as a U.S. naval fighter on aircraft carriers in the Pacific. Remember that you must always have the permission of a photographer or artist to use his or her image to print a poster!
Two Finnish War Time "SA-kuva" photographs which are coloured by Finnish artist Tommi Rossi. I have his permission to show his photos in my websites. They both are 40 cm X 30 cm posters and I have printed them to my home decor. Remember that you must always have the permission of a photographer or artist to use his or her image to print a poster!
Finnish hand-drawn topography map from Vyborg region 1939. These old Karelian Maps are freely downloadable with the HQ resolution TIF files from our National Land Survey of Finland websites. I can print this map freely for my own use and hang it framed on the wall. I have collected them for years.
My friend Pentti Kurkinen who is manufacturing my throttle consoles levers is also producing a Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6 instrument panel 3D-model. All gauges are printed separately and then assembled into a 1: 1 replica set - Can a man wish for this more stunning decorative item for himself! Here’s a poster of Pentti’s artwork, but also a 3D model of the dashboard is available to order.
The remaining images on this site are screenshots of the IL-2 STURMOVIK Great Battles simulator and game. Some of the pictures are taken from the Developer's Diary section of the IL-2 Sturmovik Forum as an example how beautiful screenshots you can take and also print as an aviation art to your home. I have permission from the 1C gaming house to use these images on my website as an example
More information of the Finnish Air Force swastika-signs 1918-1945: On March 6, 1918, Count Eric von Rosen donated a Thulin Typ D aircraft to the Finnish White Army, with blue swastikas painted on its wings. The blue swastika was the count's personal symbol of happiness and he painted it on the wings of the plane in Umeå before crossing the Gulf of Bothnia. The emblem of Count von Rosen, the blue cross on a white background, was decided to be the emblem of the Finnish Air Force, in which position it served until 1945.
The very active Finnish Virtual pilots association members use in this historical game our historical skins and also Finnish war time blue swastikas. This is because swastikas are historically correct for that era. We are also proud of the great achievements of Finnish pilots in the air battles of the Winter War, the Continuation War and the Lapland War in 1939-1945.
